What is it Like to do Business in Your City or Municipality? Answer the Entrepreneurs' Municipal Barometer Before the 16th of March

The Entrepreneurs' Municipal Barometer is a survey conducted every other year by Suomen Yrittäjät to map the cooperation between municipalities and entrepreneurs and the state of economic policy nationally, regionally and by municipality.

Why is it worth answering the survey?

  • Municipalities receive important feedback on their activities from entrepreneurs, for example about the importance of the municipality's public procurements for entrepreneurs.
  • Business associations will receive information about the issues they need to influence in their municipality on behalf of their members.
  • Municipalities and the companies that serve their entrepreneurs receive important feedback from entrepreneurs about the business services they provide: did the service improve the everyday running of the business and was it easy to receive these services?

The results can only be accurate if as many entrepreneurs as possible answer this survey, including you!

  • The survey is anonymous and is being conducted by Taloustutkimus.
  • The survey is open from February 11th to March 16th 2026.
  • Any entrepreneur or business representative can answer the survey, you do not need to be a member of Suomen Yrittäjät!
  • You can answer the survey in Finnish, Swedish or English.
  • The results will be published in connection with the Municipal Leadership Seminar in Jyväskylä on 20 May 2026.

The Entrepreneurs' Municipal Barometer is conducted every other year. The last one was conducted in 2024. It received 10 000 answers from different parts of the country and the best results by municipality size class got Seinäjoki (over 50 000 resident municipalities), Lieto (10 000-50 000 residents) and Vierämä (under 10 000 residents). Lahti placed 6th in the over 50 000 residents category and 2nd in the over 100 000 residents category. Number one in the Päijät-Häme region was Orimattila, which rose from last place in 2022 to the most entrepreneur-friendly municipality in 2024.
