Design Lahti to be showcased in Habitare – 14 companies from the Lahti region and their products and services at the ‘Pier’

DesignLahti Pier Habitare 2018 Closeup 5/2018. Design Johanna Mattila and Tuomas EskolaFurniture, interior design and design expertise from the Lahti region will be showcased at ‘Design Lahti Pier’, a joint stand of nine companies and five designers in Habitare, from 12 to 16 September 2018. The Pier, i.e. stand 6K80, which embodies the roughness of Lahti, is located in the curated AHEAD area, which showcases the latest design and requires the stands within it to be experiential in their architecture.

All the products featured at Design Lahti Pier are at least designed in the Lahti region, with most of them also made there. At the Pier, you can admire and test divans, sofas, tables, chairs, sports equipment, lamps, a green oasis, a TV stand, a swarm intelligence lamp... You can also meet interior designers, a designer, "the happiest sauna designer in the world" or a master blacksmith, which is a very rare trade these days, in addition to exploring the convenient designer service directory, Design Lahti FIND.

With its rough wooden appearance, the joint Design Lahti Pier stand itself represents design expertise and cooperation from the Lahti region: The Pier was designed by interior designer Johanna Mattila from Lahti and designer Tuomas Eskola from Hollola, both of whom you can meet at the stand. The Pier was built by the Lahti-based Tricton Oy, which has also implemented many fair stands for Slush and will be introducing its lighting innovation, a swarm intelligence lamp, at the stand.
